Product Description
The OPC antioxidants (oligoproanthocyanidins) in the iGH8 are often referred to as Pycnogenol*. The antioxidant properties were discovered and patented by Jack Masquelier, PhD.
The OPC extract is from grape seeds. In his research, Dr. Koch has found the grape seed extract to be superior to the pine bark extract because of its higher polyphenol content, containing the gallate esters of the proanthocyanidin, which are not in the pine bark extract in any notable concentration.
The flavanoids (from grape seed extract) along with the flavanoid glycosides (from Ginkgo biloba extract), the silymarin group (from Milk Thistle), combined with the bioflavonoids and cynarine (from artichoke extract), all work synergistically with the procaine complexes to feed and protect damaged cells from free radical damage.
Each iGH8 capsule contains 100 mg of Procaine HCl, 25 mg of Ascorbic acid, 25 mg of Citric acid, 16 mg of Niacin, 0.4 mg of Folic acid, 0.3 mg of Biotin, 11 mg of Potassium, and 4.0 mg of Magnesium. Additional Nutriments include 50 mg of OPC (Oligoproanthcyanidins) extract from grape seeds, 40 mg of 50:1 extract standardized to 24% flavonoids from Ginkgo Biloba, 100 mg of 80% silymarin extract from Milk Thistle (Silyburn marianum) standardized to contain 80 mg of the silymarin group of flavonoids which includes silybinin, and silychristin, and 50 mg of Artichoke extract standardized to 2% cynarine content.
